Grampian Repeater Group maintains the 2m Amateur Radio Repeaters GB3GN (Banchory) and GB3NG (Inverurie) located in NE Scotland. The considerable running costs of the repeaters are entirely funded by the membership and donations.
The Next General Meeting of Grampian Repeater Group will take place on Thursday 19th March 2026 in the
lower hall at the Aberdeen Amateur Radio Society meeting place. The location is the Scout hall in Oakhill
Crescent Lane (AB15 5HY). Oakhill Crescent is a cul-de-sac and the lane continues from the end of the Crescent. The meeting starts at 19.00 or as soon after that time as possible.
The AARS will be holding their normal meeting in the upper hall. The side, East, door of the hall will be unlocked to allow access to our meeting with out disturbing the AARS members in the upper hall.
This meeting will be an Extraordinary General Meeting which will consider the Committee’s recommendation to wind up and dissolve the Grampian Repeater Group. Our constitution currently requires a much larger attendance at the meeting than the normal AGM quorum for a motion to dissolve the Group. The first motion at the EGM will be to amend the constitution to only allow a normal general meeting quorum for a motion to dissolve the Group and require only a simple majority of those attending to pass the motion.
The Extraordinary General Meeting will be followed by the Annual General Meeting. The agenda for the AGM will be dependent on the outcome of the motion to dissolve the group.
